Here is a copy of the interview on BBC Essex with Tony Fisher on Monday 8th October 2018. Tony was chatting to me about Sing Out Loud and our forthcoming Tenth Anniversary Celebrations.
If you haven’t heard Sing Out Loud before, would like to make new friends and love singing, we are a very welcoming Community Singing Group. With us, you won’t be auditioned and you don’t have to read music. We learn a wide variety of new and familiar songs by ear. We sing anything from Folk, to Pop, Songs from the Shows to Singer-Songwriter, all in an inclusive, friendly, informal environment. Apparently, we send you home feeling relaxed and exhilarated all at the same time! How wonderful!
Our Tenth Anniversary celebration starts off at 3.00 pm, on Wednesday 7th November 2018, with a live appearance on Tony Fisher’s Show on BBC Essex. Edwina Hayes will also be joining us, and, we hope, singing a song, with us.

The celebrations continue that evening at The Cramphorn Theatre (7.00 pm for 7.30 – 9.30 p). I’m delighted to announce, the wonderful Anver Anderson is our MC!
We also have local duo Terry Crouch (suberb guitarist), and Simon Aldridge (with a beautifully expressive voice), as our support act. Sing Out Loud will perform several songs. We always encourage our audience to join in.
Our finale act is Edwina Hayes (www.edwinahayes.com), who has had one of her songs recorded by Nanci Griffith.
It will be a superb evening of music and song. We offer friends, family and potential new singers chance to enjoy an evening with Sing Out Loud and friends. Why not join us, to experience our sense of Community, for yourselves?
We have invited the Mayor of Chelmsford Councillor Yvonne Spence, and her husband, Essex County Councillor Mr John Spence. We look forward to welcoming them into our singing Community! We are delighted Kevin Bray of ECFS in Chelmsford, will also be attending. ECFS made a donation to Sing Out Loud, from their Grass Roots Community Fund, without which this event could not take place.
There are only a few tickets remaining. To make sure yours is one of them, and for full details of the event, please, click here for tickets. Any profits will go to The Mayor’s Charities (The Dementia Project at Broomfield Hospital, and local children’s charity Kids Inspire).
